Hello Kitty
Last night was the opening night of the three day 50th anniversary party for Sanrio. The party is held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. It is set up like a carnival with a full ferris wheel, carni games and putt-putt. They also have such vendors as Yogurtland, Pinks Hot Dogs, and a bunch of food trucks. Free beer, Sake, and wine. An art gallery is set up in the back presenting paintings, drawing, digital animation, sculpture and installments all inspired by Sanrio characters. Set up directly adjacent to the Art Gallery is the gift shop where one can buy anything from Bathing Ape Hello Kitty Chuck Taylors, to a Badtz-Maru cell-phone covers. This cultural phenomenon comes to life at the Small Gift Party, Celebrating 50 years of Sanrio. Go There!

In order from left to right, the row of shops begins with children's clothing, men's clothing and accessories, home goods, women's clothing accessories, shoes and jewelry, the store's gallery where they have various artists and artisans show their work and finally the last store front on the right is dedicated to gifts. All the goods sold in this store are of the highest quality and need not go undiscovered. Go There!

Dank Pho
Phenomenal Pho at Pho Hung Phat in Long Beach on Anaheim St. and Coronado Ave. ridiculously good and very affordable. If Matzo Ball soup is Jewish Penicillin, the Pho at Pho Hung Phat is Vietnamese Penicillin. Go there!

Parking lot in Solana Beach. Love this town, really cool beach town with nice shops, delicious eats and magnificent beaches. Go there!
Signal Hill
Signal Hill in Long Beach has seen many changes. In the early 20's Buster Keaton and Fatty Arbuckle shot movies here with tBalboa Studios but when the oil boom struck, the film studios fled North to Hollywood now it is a nice hilltop community with amazing views of the Pacific but the remnants of the past industry still pump black gold out of the hill.
LBC
After I graduated in May of 2010 I lived with my biological father and my new family in Long Beach for five months during which time I realized my love for the West Coast.
My Hood
